Genealogists

In the U.S., women have long been considered the stereotypical family historian.  But how true is this?  Nationally the figures seem to say that 71 percent of family historians are women, and 29 percent are men. Still, there are regional differences, and we would like to know more about this. Additionally, more men than women become genealogists in various European countries, such as those reporting here.
